Discover Your Path

The teen years are where many fencers define their goals, whether pursuing national competition or enjoying fencing as a lifelong passion.

What MFA provides

Many teens continue in our Competitive Foil Program, while others specialize in épée or sabre. Students receive advanced coaching, group classes, private lessons, and open fencing tailored to their goals.

Training

Beginners starting at this age usually start in épée, which runs every level in the same class — first lesson through to competitive — and they train together rather than being split by standard. The fencers already there are good at bringing on someone new. Foil students may attend any foil class and are often part of our Competitive Foil Program. Épée trains Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM. Sabre students train with the sabre program.

Why fencing?

Fencing develops leadership, resilience, strategic thinking, and confidence while preparing students for success on and off the strip.

Competition

From local events to regional and national tournaments, students can choose the level of competition that’s right for them.
