At Marin Fencing Academy, our goal goes beyond creating exceptional fencers—we nurture people of all ages, with a special emphasis on children and young learners. We believe in the power of personal attention. Every student is seen, heard, and valued as an individual—not just a number or a dollar sign. Our coaches are committed to helping each student succeed, regardless of their starting point or challenges.
All our coaches are certified with USA Fencing (www.usafencing.org), pass Safe Sports Certification (https://uscenterforsafesport.org/), and undergo robust background checks, ensuring that fencers of all ages have a safe community to learn and grow.
Training for All Goals
At Marin Fencing Academy, we offer rigorous training for those aiming to compete while providing a fun, recreational experience for everyone else. Whether you want to compete locally, regionally, nationally, internationally, or simply have fun, we value your journey and are here to support it.
Our club may seem to focus mostly on kids, but we have an awesome program for adults as well, with many adults using fencing as a way to stay in shape and keep their spirit vibrant. Fencing is a lifelong sport that helps you stay fit, focused, and mentally sharp.
Community and Competitions
While other clubs may focus solely on winning at all cost, we take pride in building a community that values personal growth as the ultimate victory.
We have created many nationally ranked fencing champions over the years! We also help fencers of all ages navigate their paths in life, fostering growth both on and off the strip. Our approach has drawn iconic international coaches and Olympians who have coached with us—not just for our talented athletes, but because they believe in our vision: winning is the result of becoming your best self.
Our Competitions:
- USA Fencing sanctioned monthly events at MFA – Foil, Epee, and Sabre!
- Attracting about 160 competitive fencers each month from all over the U.S. to our events
- Our events serve as a springboard for our members into competitive fencing

Fencing as a Life Lesson
Our mission extends beyond the fencing strip. We teach our students that it’s not just about landing the perfect touch but showing respect, grace in victory and defeat, loyalty, support for your fellow fencers, and having the courage to stand up for themselves and others. These lessons shape our students’ lives long after they leave the academy.
